Together with 28 volunteers, CHOICE went to the Nam Định province of Vietnam to continue our efforts there a year ago. This year, we went to 3 middle schools and 1 high school, two of which are schools we visited last year.
Breaking our volunteers into teams, each volunteer was engaged with lesson planning over the summer and put them into action during the five days of teaching at their respective schools. The trip overall was a highly rewarding experience for all our volunteers and some of them even told the committee that they wish to head back to these schools next year. While our service trip comes to an end, we do believe that the impact that we have made would be felt by the students that we served in the years to come – an inspiration for them to study hard and the warmth of being cared by people from miles away.
