In addition to our annual service project in developing countries, CHOICE also aims to give back to the community in Hong Kong and enrich local students’ learning experiences.
This year, CHOICE has expanded and recruited subcommittee members as volunteers for the first time in order to give more Cambridge students the opportunity to volunteer, as well as raising their awareness of local societal issues. We also hope that the Christmas project will improve their teaching and communication skills in preparation for our summer project.
In December, the CHOICE committee and subcomittee went to Tung Tak School in Kam Tin to help organise the School’s Christmas Party. We designed and ran 4 game booths , with differing levels of complexity to suit students of different ages. We also immersed in group games within classes. The project was immensely successful and we hope all the students had a fun and educational time.
